The challenge

Balonne Shire Council wanted to strengthen leadership capability across leaders working in very different service areas. Development needed to address individual needs while building consistent capability in courageous conversations, accountability, teamwork, change and conflict management.

Our approach

Objective Leader delivered individual coaching supported by leadership capability assessments and 360-degree feedback. Each leader established individual development goals and applied their coaching directly to challenges within their role.

The outcome

Across four leaders, stakeholder feedback rated overall leadership improvement at an average +46 on a -100 to +100 scale, with improvement recorded across 80% of measured leadership behaviours. Participants reported achieving an average 78% of their individual development goals.
