The challenge

Bundaberg Regional Council had begun an ambitious change agenda involving new systems, employee empowerment and improved community service. Leaders needed to move beyond hands-on delivery and siloed ways of working towards stronger delegation, collaboration and change leadership.

Our approach

Objective Leader delivered tailored individual coaching, supported by capability assessment, for 20 middle and senior leaders across two cohorts. Development aligned Council’s values and strategic plan with each leader’s workplace challenges.

The outcome

Participants reported 90% progress towards the goals set at the start of the program. They also described practical changes in cross-department relationships, team planning, employee involvement in change, delegation and employee-led meetings focused on ideas and innovation.
